I am a fan of the roast chicken you can get at the grocery store for around $5... already cooked and warm and ready to be eaten! We sometimes will have one of those with rolls and a veggie for dinner, and then the leftover chicken goes into some kind of dish later in the week.

I am not a fan of dealing with meat, especially when it resembles the animal from which it came. Therefore, I have never tried to cook a whole chicken. I know you can get them super cheap, but I just am creeped out by them. I am semi-okay with chicken parts (legs, thighs, breasts, wings) and those you can get for super cheap as well.

This recipe is great because I can get a roast chicken taste without having to take up your whole oven and you can use chicken parts if you so desire (you can use a whole chicken if your croc-pot is large enough).
-chicken (as much or little as you like, with the max being how much your croc-pot will hold)
-salt, pepper and any other spices you like on your chicken
-three -four foil balls (enough to keep the chicken off the bottom and out of the juices).
Wad up the foil and place it in the bottom of the croc-pot. This will keep your chicken from cooking in its own juices. This is what will give it that roast flavor.
