Makin' Stuff Monday: Crochet Flowers

I have been crocheting for about 5 years now... but my projects have been limited to scarves and one blanket made of granny squares. I love how quickly I can crochet... but even so I find myself shying away from really involved and difficult projects!

So when I came across these sweet little flowers (and the awesome video tutorial) I was hooked! They take about 4 minutes to crochet... and they are just adorable! I love how simple they are. I have made flowers in the past, but with multiple layers of petals... and they always turned out a little funny looking... but these are super easy!

Then I took the cute little flowers and attached it to this hat... using a button...
...allowing me to change out the flowers... so these hat/flower combos can be customized! Awesome!
You can add this feature to any hat... it doesn't have to be a crochet hat... in fact, you could add the button to a onesie and then be able to swap out the flower on a onesie... or wherever you can attach a button for that matter!

Enjoy!
