Makin' Stuff Monday: Hand Sanitizer Part 2

**Giveaway results are posted below... scroll down**

Last week I showed you how to jazz up the hand sanitizers that stay in one place... and you don't really have to worry about coating those because they don't get moved too much. However... what about these little jewels?!? These treasures get tossed into your purse or gym bag and taken all over the place. They need to be a little cuter... and a lot sturdier than the pump variety of hand cleanser!
Here's what you need:
Paper Cutter and/or scissors
Mini Hand Sanitizer (not the huge pump kind)
Adhesive (glue- only for method 2 or embellishents)
Mod Podge (any variety will work)
Cute Paper (scraps work well)
Embellishments (optional)

There are two ways to do this and they depend on the variety of bottle you use.

Method 1 uses the Bath and Body Works bottle (a trapezoidal bottle)
1. Trace the outline of your mini-sanitizer bottle onto paper (do this twice).
2. Cut your paper slightly smaller than the bottle (do this twice).
3. Add your embellishments to the paper.
4. Coat the front and back of the bottle of sanitizer with Mod Podge and place your front and back paper onto the bottle. Work out any bubbles by smoothing the paper onto the bottle. Allow to dry 15ish minutes.
5. Apply a complete coat of Mod Podge over the entire bottle (excluding the bottom and cap) and cover the paper well (especially the edges). As you work, make sure to smooth out any bubbles in the paper. Allow to dry 15ish minutes. Repeat with 2-3 more coats.
6. Allow your final coat to dry 24ish hours before tossing your super cute new sanitizer into your purse!

Method 2 uses a generic bottle that is more rectangular in shape (like the pump bottles)
1. Measure the height of your bottle. Cut a paper long enough to wrap around the bottle and tall enough to cover the length (without going over).
2. Cut out the strip of paper.
3. Add your embellishments to the paper.
4. Coat the bottle of sanitizer with Mod Podge and carefully wrap the strip of paper around the bottle. If there is overlap of the paper, use your adhesive to secure the overlap.

For my project, I used 2 coats of Outdoor Mod Podge and one coat of Matte Mod Podge. The Outdoor Mod Podge was a little more tacky than I liked, so I covered with Matte and liked the finished tacky-ness.
Toss into your purse, gym bag, or car and enjoy your super cute little hand cleanser bottles.
With Valentines Day coming up... what a cute, personalized touch to put on a practical gift!
